In 2017, in order to realize a first in Turkey at Fırat University, it was established under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mehmet CEBECİ from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Dr. Lecturer Burak TANYERİ from the Airframe Engine Department. It was established under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mehmet CEBECİ and Dr. Burak TANYERİ from the Airframe Engine Department, with the main sponsorship of ELSE ENERJİ A.Ş. and technical sponsorship of IMECAR ELECTRONİK.
To produce the first electric vehicle with wheel drive technology and 4-wheel drive system in Turkey and to fly our flag in Formula Student Electric races that will take place in 20 different countries. At the same time, to transfer our years of experience to future teams in order to take firm steps towards the future.
It has been and continues to be a source of light and inspiration for many students. Students in the team gain experience in team cohesion and interdisciplinary working skills, professional presentation skills, management, research and development, innovation and quality management, cost analysis, project and product documentation and risk control. During these studies, the theoretical knowledge acquired at universities is transformed into practice through such activities.
Fırat Racing consists of two main branches, the primary and reserve teams, and a total of 25 students. The ace team works on the basic components of the vehicle, while at the same time transferring their years of experience and knowledge to the reserve team in order to take firm steps for the future.
